What can I do with household alkaline batteries?

Alkaline batteries are not included in an industry collection program at this time. Several private companies and some municipalities offer battery collection and drop off services. To reduce the impact of batteries on the environment, choose rechargeable batteries instead, which can be reused over and over again. To see if there are recycling drop-offs for batteries near you, visit the RCBC Recyclepedia or call the Recycling Hotline at 604-RECYCLE (732-9253) or 1-800-667-4321.
