What products are included in the provincial electronic recycling program?
BC's Return-It Electronics is a province-wide, end-of-life electronics recycling program available to all consumers and businesses in British Columbia. The program started in 2007 with computers and televisions and was expanded in July 2010. It now covers most home electronics, such as TVs, computers, DVD players, VCRs, stereo equipment, mp3 players, cameras, non-cellular phones, answering machines, headphones and more! Cellular phones are not accepted at Encorp depots. However, they are accepted for recycling at all RecycleMyCell depots and all Call2Recycle depots.
The electronics recycling program does not currently include any small appliances, such as microwaves, blenders, coffeepots or toasters.
