What can I do with shredded paper?

Most municipal recycling programs accept shredded paper through curbside recycling programs and at recycling depots in the mixed waste paper bin.

Contain shredded paper in a cereal box or paper bag; on windy days loose pieces will blow out into the streets. Do not use plastic bags to contain your paper as it can contaminate the paper recycling process. If you have a large amount of paper you can purchase large paper bags normally used for yard trimmings.
