Welcome to the RCBC media page. The current contact for media information is Director of Communications, Mairi Welman. RCBC is pleased to assist media with recycling, waste reduction and zero waste information.

Mairi Welman, Director of Communications:

Mairi joined RCBC in the fall of 2007 as Director of Communications. She is a long-time professional communicator and has practiced her craft in the Lower Mainland for 20 years in the public and private sectors. She helped launch a highly successful IPO and has worked in transportation, fine arts, tourism, and TV & Film, and has also run a successful PR consulting firm working for clients in health care, high-tech, computer games and animation businesses.

Brock Macdonald, Executive Director:

Brock was appointed executive director in February 2006. He originally joined RCBC as communications director in 2003. Prior to that he served as Communications Manager with Product Care, B.C.'s first industry stewardship association. Brock is an educator and journalist who has worked as a communications professional since 1989 in the computer, manufacturing and sports entertainment sectors.
