Recycling Council MOBI Awards -- Nominations Are Now Open!

Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized for their contribution to protecting our environment? It could be a neighbor or co-worker, it could be a company or a group of students, it could be a government program or a journalist. Why not nominate someone this year for one of RCBC's coveted MOBI Awards?

Each year the Recycling Council recognizes the efforts that individuals and organizations make towards the preservation and protection of British Columbia's environment. The 2010 awards will be presented at our 36th Annual Zero Waste Conference on May 26, in Whistler, B.C.

Nominations are now being accepted in the following categories: Individual, Youth, Educator, Private Sector, Public Sector, Non-Profit, and Journalism & Media.

The MOBI Awards are named after the mobius loop, or recycling symbol, and feature a human figure holding the earth aloft. The awards are made locally, from recycled metals and glass.

Deadline for nominations is April 9, 2010. You can access the submission form and all the details at www.rcbc.bc.ca/events/rcbc-annual-awards.
