Dear Member: WorkSafeBC is proposing amendments to B.C.'s Occupational Health and Safety Regulation which will be of particular interest to RCBC members involved in using or managing refuse/recycling trucks, particularly larger ones that service roll on/roll off bins and front loaders. Consultation on the proposed amendments runs until December 18, 2009. Following this, WorkSafeBC we will review the comments received and prepare the amendments for a public hearing, which is expected to take place in May/June of 2010. WorkSafeBC would appreciate feedback from RCBC members on any of the proposed amendments, and specifically on the proposed changes for "Part 16 Mobile Equipment related to warning signal devices" .
