CONFERENCE NEWS

The Recycling Council of B.C.'s
2010 Zero Waste Conference
May 25-27
Whistler, B.C.

The Future Starts Now --
Planning the Transition to Full EPR

By the end of the next decade, the majority of B.C.'s solid waste will be divided into two streams: organics, managed by local government and consumer-related materials, managed through extended producer responsibility programs.

That future starts now as we plan the transition from a taxpayer-funded system to one paid for by end-users in which industry manages its products through the entire lifecycle, in a closed loop system, cradle to cradle.

Why attend?

Join us to learn and network as we explore this theme in presentations designed specifically to provide leading edge information to local governments and industry. This conference is attended by approximately 250 industry professionals from around B.C. and North America. The three-day event features a keynote speaker(s), presentations, workshops, information sessions and exhibits, as well as our annual Gala Dinner, entertainment and awards presentation.

NOTE DAY CHANGE!
Please note that in 2010 our conference is being held immediately following the Victoria Day Monday stat holiday, and runs Tuesday through Thursday. Due to some deft schedule management we are bringing you 20% more program hours this year! Plan to be at the most comprehensive zero waste conference in B.C. this year.
