Established in 1985, the RCBC MEX program is a free province-wide service facilitating the reuse and recycling of products and materials destined for the landfill. Basically, it’s a dating service for waste.

BC Electronics Material Exchange (BC EMEX)

Did you know that over 36,000 tonnes of electronic waste was dumped in Canadian landfills in 1999? In BC, we have a solution that can help reduce the amount of e-waste that goes to our landfills. The BC EMEX program allows members to sell, give away or trade reusable electronic items. There are over 30 categories to choose from, including televisions, gaming consoles and computers.
